Course Audit Guidelines

The LearningHub administration team will monitor course and curricula registrations and course activity throughout the year to identify which courses are not actively being accessed or used. This process is in place to clean up the course catalogue in preparation for the Workday Learning transition as well as maintain the course catalogue and its relevancy.

Any course or curriculum that have not had any of the following actions taken in the previous 15 months will be inactivated immediately:

  • Updating of any course settings
  • Learner registration
  • Learner completion
  • Learner reschedules a session
  • Movement of a learner from a waitlist to a roster
  • No session added

The LearningHub administration team reserves the right to inactivate any courses without contacting the course owner prior to inactivation. If a course owner would like to have a course reactivated, they would be required to submit a ticket to request reactivation of any course.

We request all course managers regularly review their active courses on the LearningHub and request course inactivation as courses become no longer required or relevant for the intended population to assist in the maintenance of the course catalogue.

This is phase one of on-going course cleanup on the LearningHub. Phase two will begin to review any courses with low usage below a predetermined threshold. The threshold will be agreed to at the BC Learning Stewardship Network and work to determine those factors is on-going.
